Holiday
The holiday’s my family celebrate mostly traditional for
American’s. We also celebrate some Mexican holiday’s too. My favorite one is St.
Patrick’s Day because that’s my little brother’s birthday. Mom named him
Patrick because he was born on that day. He sadly passed away a couple of
minutes after he was born. But even though he isn’t with us anymore I still
remember when his birthday is and celebrate it, even though the rest of my
family doesn’t really celebrate his birthday. I always look forward to St.
Patrick’s Day because it makes me happy to remember him.
My other favorite holiday is Christmas. I like it because I
get to make nice gifts for my family. I love making crafts, so I am normally the
first one to have the gifts under the tree. I always craft certain things that
go with that family member’s personality and interests. They always end up
liking the gifts I give because, I put hard work and a bunch of time into them.
My grandma always gets us all clothes and blankets. I always end up with a lot
of clothes and crafting supplies, my brothers get toys and of course clothes.

ReplyDeleteLife is all about today and the future.Sometimes the past makes a little thought -like that of your little brother passing away.It is nice of you to remember him on St. Patrick’s Day .I am sure remembering is a kind act.By remembering you also will feel happy that you have thought of him.I have also lost my son,I remember him on his birthday and on occasions . But the future takes me further and makes me to be more kind and tries making me to forget the past sometimes.
Good to have a nice christmas celebrations shortly to bring in more joy and good health to keep growing .

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your brother passed after he was born. My mom had a younger brother who passed because of heart failure when he was three months old. Like you, my mom, her sister, her mother, and her bother all celebrate his birthday; I have also started to as well. It's always bad to loose someone you love or will love but sometimes, it'll teach you a lesson.
My family is largely made up of Mexicans so while we also celebrate American holidays, we also celebrate a lot of Mexican holidays. We especially celebrate The Day of The Dead because it is also my birthday.
I enjoyed the way you wrote and learning about your brother.
